Information on Popup Blockers

To take courses in the edept® Training Solutions LMS, your browser needs to be configured to allow pop-up windows from http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com.

To configure your browser to allow pop-up windows on this site, follow the instructions for your computer and browser as outlined below.


Windows Computers

Internet Explorer

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Tools menu, click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  3. In the Address of Web site to allow field, type
    http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com

  4. Click Add.
  5. Click Close.

Firefox

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click Web Features from the categories in the left-hand column.
  4. Click the Allowed Sites button to the right of Block Popup Windows. You will see the Allowed Sites dialog box. You can add sites from which you would like to allow pop-up windows. For example, you could add the University's Library site.
  5. In the Address of web site field, type
            http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com
  1. Click Allow.
  2. Click OK when you finish adding the sites you want.
  3. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.

Mozilla 1.7x

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  3. In the left-hand column, double-click Privacy & Security.
  4. Click Popup Windows.
  5. Click in the check box in front of Block unrequested popup windows.
  6. Click Allowed Sites.
  7. In the blank field, type
    http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com

  8. Click Add.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK.

Netscape 7.x

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  3. In the left-hand column, double-click Privacy & Security.
  4. Click Popup Windows.
  5. Click the radio button in front of Suppress popups.
  6. Click Exceptions.
  7. In the blank field, type
    http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com
  8. Click Add.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK.

Macintosh Computers

Mozilla 1.7x

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Mozilla menu, click Preferences.
  3. In the left-hand column, double-click Privacy & Security.
  4. Click Popup Windows.
  5. Click in the check box in front of Block unrequested popup windows.
  6. Click Allowed Sites.
  7. In the blank field, type
    http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com
  8. Click Add.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK.

Netscape 7.x

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Netscape menu, click Preferences.
  3. In the left-hand column, double-click Privacy & Security.
  4. Click Popup Windows.
  5. Click in the check box in front of Block unrequested popup windows.
  6. Click Allowed Sites.
  7. In the blank field, type
    http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com
  8. Click Add.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK.

 

Configuring the Google toolbar Pop-up Blocker

If you are using Internet Explorer with the Google toolbar, ensure that the Google Toolbar says "Site pop-ups allowed" when you are on the course page.  To accomplish this, go to the course page and click the button on the Google Toolbar that says " # blocked" (e.g., 132 blocked in the picture below).  The button will turn into “Site pop-ups allowed".

Make sure that before you hit the “Test Your System” button or the “Attend …” button the Google toolbar shows "Site pop-ups allowed".

Configuring the Yahoo toolbar Pop-up Blocker

If you are using Internet Explorer with the Yahoo toolbar, click on the pop-up menu (see picture below) and follow the instructions.

Add the source of the pop-up window to your Allowed List by clicking the Pop-Up Blocker menu and selecting “Always Allow Pop-Ups From....” button. Then select the course site (the line that includes “http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com”) from the “Sources of Recently Blocked Pop-Ups list” and click Allow.

Configuring the Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SVP2) Pop-up Blocker

1.       Open an Internet Explorer window

2.       Click “Tools” (on the upper menu)

3.       Choose “Internet Options”

4.       Select the “Privacy” tab

5.       Click the “Settings…” button (see the picture below)

6.      In the box for “Address for Web Site to Allow” type http://iheal.iasishealthcare.com

7.      Click the “Add” button (see the picture below)

8.      Click “Apply” and “OK”

9.      Now close out of Internet Explorer and reload the course page

 

Configuring the Norton Internet Security/Firewall Pop-up Blocker

1.       Open Norton Internet Security's/Firewall’s main window (you may click the firewall icon on the system tray or use Start->Programs->Norton Firewall)

2.       Click the “Ad Blocking” line

3.       Click the “Turn Off” button
